High School Senior Session At Surf City | Madi

A awesome friend reached out a few weeks back and wanted to see if this beach freak was going to be heading back to the coast and if I would have any availability for a senior session. Um, oh yea!! I can never turn down an opportunity to go to the coast or a chance to capture, her daughter, Madi's senior year. The timing worked out perfectly, so the kids and I planned and made the 2 hour trip out to Surf City, North Carolina.

It was a perfect day to be at the beach. We stopped by Shaka Taco for their amazing burrito bowls and visited with local friends who live near by. The kids took full advantage of the water and sun. The air wasn't too hot and the breeze was making its way down the coastline. There was quite a bit of people enjoying the beach but it wasn't overcrowded.

When it was time for our session to begin, the water was just starting to recede. Creating the mirror effect that I love about the beach. The one where it almost looks at if the sand and sky are one with each other. The setting was perfect and the blue sky complemented Madi's wardrobe choices. The white was sweet and elegant and the red popped. During sessions, I love switching things up. by pulling hair into top knots for the perfect wispy pieces. We even got mama in a photo to capture this moment of them together. We shot until the last of the sun dipped behind the homes, called it a day well spent and planned our upcoming session in the warehouse district back home in Raleigh.
